The Lawrenceburg Police Department is located at 349 Walnut Street in the heart of Lawrenceburg, Indiana. We are dedicated to serve our community with the highest level of law enforcement. We have 20 sworn officers that always make the community’s safety their first priority.
This is a very exciting time in our department. As the community grows, the community relations programs of the Lawrenceburg Police Department continue to grow as well. We are committed to providing officers with the highest level of training, state of the art equipment, and the support needed to provide the people of Lawrenceburg the level of service they deserve.
Mission
The mission of the Lawrenceburg Police Department is to provide the citizens of Lawrenceburg with professional law enforcement services using a proactive approach to fight crime, along with providing high visibility on the streets and neighborhoods. Certified, educated, well trained, and specialized police officers accomplish these goals.

Golf Cart Info
On August 7, 2023, the City of Lawrenceburg rolled out the Golf Cart as Speed Vehicle updates.
An initial golf cart inspection by the Lawrenceburg Police Department is required and proof of inspection must be provided to the Lawrenceburg Clerk-Treasurer’s Office. Contact the Lawrenceburg Police Department at 812-537-2284 to schedule inspection.

In order to get a fingerprint, VIN Check, and or a VEN Check you must come to the police department to do so. Please be mindful that there is a five dollar charge that will be accepted in cash only.
