This park is very nicely shaded and provides several park benches for watching time fly. There is also a beautiful fountain in the center of the park. This park is also home to a Civil War cannon encased in a display enclosure.
Newtown Park offers picnicking, walking and just newly added two chess and checker game tables (Bring your own chess pieces and checkers).
The park is a perfect setting for the annual “Arts and Crafts in the Park”, normally held here in early September.
