The City of Lawrenceburg is currently seeking a full time Diesel Mechanic. This position works in conjunction with other mechanics and foreman in the City garage to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all City vehicles. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills required, as well as transmission, clutch, suspension, brakes, and engine experience. Ability to diagnose and repairs basic equipment wiring. Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on gasoline engines as needed. Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers and maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of five years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic and must be ASE Diesel Certified or higher equivalent. Must have, or be able to obtain within 90 days, a valid Class B CDL.
